14 june 2001 Greetings all from the Caribbean! Somehow I've tracked down a computer with internet capabilities and so I can let you know what I've been up to. It's a great place here in Antigua, and hot as anything as I've found out doing a run every other morning. I don't think Goodies program would last too long out here- I've had to cut a few sessions short because of the shear heat out here. I've met quite a few people out here and have been trying to educate some Americans about football, although quite a few of them are clued up on the game and are saying it's getting bigger out there in the states. I've had a few games of beach volleyball out here and seem to be getting the hang of it, but I still serve by volleying the ball over the net with my trusty right peg! I brought goodies program out here with me and have been trying to stick to the diet side of things (which is torture with all the dishes they have here) and as I said earlier I've been doing runs, fartlek and interval every other day out here. I brought my fishing rod with me but unfortunately haven't managed to get anything yet, but I'm hopeful and going deep sea fishing on Friday 15th to see if I can catch a Marlin or something of decent size, anything that beats my 15lb carp record anyway!!! I've not heard much about goings on at the club and will be checking the websites right after I finish this entry. I heard Ards still hasn't signed and Euellie hasn't gone yet but it looks on the cards, so I'll probably find everything out on Monday back at the training ground. The people here are really friendly and last night was talent night at the hotel, I was itching to get up and sing but needed Trond to back me up on his guitar, we would have brought the house down - one way or another!
