03 January 2002 - Rick Laws asks:
I don't really listen to rumours, but word is going around
The Lincoln fans is that if the imps paid you enough dosh you would come back tomorrow, would you?

"My time at Lincoln was great I enjoyed every single minute and it showed on the pitch. You never know what’s going to happen in football so I cant rule out anywhere, be great to score a few more goals down at Sincil Bank.
"

24 July 2002 - K.Morrow asks:
Hi Gareth, A simple question(s) here, Im a PNE fan and just wondering what's taking you so long to decide your future, whether its at PNE or not. PNE offered you a contract and you said you would tell them by the end of June along with Clyde Wijnhard, you both decided to keep your options open and didnt sign, but didn't reject it. Since then Clyde did reject a 3 year deal but still hopes to sign for us. After you sogned on loan, you said you were desperate to sign for us and would love to come back, we offered you the contract and after saying all that you didn't decide to sign and now your back in discussuions with Wimbledon... So really you have made a fool of us, telling lies that you want to sign when you didnt or you would have etc. All the people here at PNE are desperate for you to sign, your a crowd favourite gareth, we need you to be honest. So come on and sign or at least have the bottle to tell us your not going to.

"As I've said, Wimbledon have to pay me 1 months severence pay which comes to an end on July 31st. Preston are still my number one choice, things have happened since that first meeting in June which I do have to keep to myself. Other clubs have approached me in the last few weeks and I have to listen to what they have to say. If I knew I was or wasnt going to sign then believe me I would say, the fans are magnificent at Deepdale and I will be honest with them. Things could become clearer in August."

24 July 2002 -Steve Withnell-Taylor asks:
Hi Gareth, I'm a big pne fan, and remember the 110% effort you put into the club last time you played at PNE and also last season whilst on loan. Can you answer the following questions: 1. Are you going to sign for PNE? 2. Is there an offer at PNE for you? 3. If not PNE, who are you going to sign for? 4. What is your biggest achievement to date? 5. Can I borrow a tenner?

"Answers...
1. All things equal or nearly equal and I'll sign for Preston
2. There is an offer but its complicated, wish I could say more!
3. Not Blackpool
4. Being sold for 2 million to the premiership, playing at Wembley, scoring
2 at St James'
5. If I get 5 goals for North End this season then remind me of this e-mail
and I'll give you twenty.
Thanks for the support good to know my effort doesn't go un-noticed."

24 July 2002 - George Adelman asks:
I dunno if you have heard about the recent threat to Lincoln City's existence at the hands of ITV digital? You were an amazing servant to the club and since your departure it has never quite been the same. We still have the gritty determination and to win football matches but without the technical ability and sufficient funding all our efforts will go to waste. Will you ever consider a return to Sincil Bank as you are a legend here?

"One thing I've learned from the past few weeks is that football is uncertain so never say never. I loved my time at Lincoln and have a sneaking feeling that one day I'll be back!"

24 July 2002 -Joe asks:
Gareth, I am a great fan of yours, but I would like to ask a serious question, I play football for a club, and I was wondering if you suffer or have ever suffered from cramp? It is very painfall for me. Are then any solutions, beacause it almost has me in tears every game.

"Great Question Joe and yes there are ways of reducing cramp, Coops and Patrick also suffer now and again from cramp. Jon Goodman the fitness coach gets us all to eat bananas on the run up to a game, I usually have 2 the day before and 1 on the day. I also drink 3-4 litres of mineral water before every game, the lads cant believe I get through that much but its something I've always done and I've never had cramp. Hope these tips help, bananas and loads of water."

24 July 2002 -Paul Barrett asks :
Hi Gareth, I'm 15 and like you i want to become a football player. I am currently playing for Carshalton Athletic but want to play for a league team. I know that I am good enough and people tell me that I am aswell. Do you have any ideas on how I could get to the top and become a football player? Good luck with your football career where ever you play it, I and all the other dons fans wil remember you. Thanks.

"A lot has changed since I was an apprentice but I know most clubs have academy's and academy directors, the best way to get a trial or a scout come to watch you would be to get in touch with the academy director or youth developement officers from as many league clubs as you can, you can get most of this info off the web looking at clubs official websites. Keep ringing and writing to clubs till they cannot ignore you, but dont worry if you don't get straight into football, I was at non league Northwich Victoria at 18 years old so you may have to start in local Non League sides and come through the leagues that way. All the very best and I hope you have some success with this advice."

24 July 2002 - Maria & Keith Mead ask :
It is a great shame to see you go. Please could you let us know what you actual feel about the situation at Wimbledon and what are your honest views on the sacking of Terry Burton?

"I'm gutted for Terry about being let go, he had a tough year, injuries didn't help and I believe if everyone had been fit he would have got us into the playoffs. It must have been hard having to let players go because of the financial situation too. I have no idea what happens behind the scenes so it's difficult to comment."
